(+) The overall atmosphere is very nice with attentive staff. Great location. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was wonderful, very friendly waiters!! (-) Service in the lounge where I had coffee in the afternoon could be better. The waiter didn't show any enthusiasm when we ordered coffee and didn't even think about recommending some cake => the only thing I didn't like during my stay

(+) Everything good. My wife hoped to visit the Cathedral in the holy year 2010. This hotel is ideal for visiting the cathedoral. Restaurant has very good atomosphere, and not so expensive. We had starter and main dish, and one bottel of Spanish wine. It cost 80 Euro. We enjoyed very nice stay. (-) Few staff except receptionists can understand English. That is Spain.

(+) It is a very important historical site in santiago. You are part of it when you stay at the parador. You really feel part of all the pilgrims that visit the city. The location is the best, you never forget where you are. The rooms are very cozy and the bathrooms brand new. (-) Not at all.

(+) beautiful historical setting. (-) wood floors- noise level high. breakfast was nice but very pricey. Would expect hotel of this caliber to include bathrobes for guests. Would have liked some information about history of hotel/amenities upon check-in.

(+) Position,atmosphere, the general feeling of well-being and comfort.This is a very well run hotel with a very approachable staff. (-) Frankly, the cost of food and wines. We would have liked to "eat in" at times but had to seek more economic alternatives. In fairness, we have found that Spain generally is an expensive country in these respects.
