(+) Pleasant helpful staff. Excellent restaurant but wine bit pricy.Cosy bar area with real log fire and wooden beams. Lovely setting by canal and close to small village. (-) No leisure facilities

(+) Staff friendliness and their willingness to help when possible. Every member of staff said either hello or good morning etc when encountered. (-) Walking through the cold coridoor to the bar / resturaunt.

(+) Price was fair at £70 for a single, easy to park. Ok for the very busy business man who only needs a bed - arrive late, leave early i.e. not expecting nice breakfast (-) Very poor food in restaurant and also at breakfast. No gym facility

(+) The Reception staff were exceptionally courteous and clear. Internet access was easy and free. (-) The bar is too dark

(+) The food was excellent, maybe the best I have had in a hotel like this. (-) The staff on reception were arrogant
